Gaye  Ferrara

Born in California , Gaye Ferrara, spent her early years in the west and southwest, where her father worked as a mine administrator. Her family ultimately settled in New York.  Gaye attended college in the west, where she studied fine arts at the University of Arizona.

Before settling in Phoenix , Gaye designed and opened a clothing store in Cleveland , Ohio. Later she designed women's jewelry and accessories in New York City - working in such a small scale attuned her eye to distinguish the finest nuances of detail.

A graduate of The American Institute of Interior Design, Gaye worked successively for two Interior design firms , learning the profession of design.  In 1984, she headed the design team for the Orchards Resort and Restaurant at L'Auberge de Sedona, Sedona, Az.  Following that she established her own business doing commercial and residential interiors.

Ferrara has designed interiors for stores, homes, medical facilities, businesses and hotels, with many projects winning professional awards.

From the years of 1992 - 2004, Ferrara owned retail establishments in Phoenix and on Marshall Way in Scottsdale.

urrently, Gaye is working as an independent designer with a large team of contractors, designers, architects and sources that she draws from specifically for each each project tailoring each project to meet the needs and dreams of the client.

errara has been published several times in Phoenix Home and Garden and has been a Master of the Southwest. She has also been published in Scottsdale Magazine, California Home and Design, Arizona Foothills Magazine, Southwest Style, Sources and Design.

erraras has won many ASID awards for residential , product design, retail and office , contract , healthcare and contract design. Ferraras also won an AIA  Honor award for design.
