A
graduate of the American Institute of Interior Design, Fountain
Hills, AZ, Gaye worked successively for two interior design firms,
learning the ins and outs of the profession.
In 1984, she headed the design team for The Orchards Resort
and Restaurant at L’Auberge de Sedona Resort, Sedona, AZ.
Following that she established her own business doing commercial
and residential interiors.
Ferrara,
an associate member of American Society of Interior Designers, ASID,
has designed interiors for stores, homes, medical facilities, businesses
and hotels, with many projects winning professional awards.
Local projects include Uh Oh!, The Linen Tree, Omni Medical
Imaging, Jewelry by Gauthier on Marshall Way, Marco Polo on Shea
as well as many custom homes.
“Art,
Architecture and Design unite in a new language breaking the boundaries
of the ordinary while reflecting the natural rhythms that tell the
story with style.” She
enjoys mixing styles, art and architecture, as well as interpreting
clients’ likes and needs into workable designs.
She has a passion for color and also loves to incorporate
metals, rich fabrics and all manners of unusual materials into her
designs.
She
has created interiors in Lake Tahoe, Orlando, New York, Sedona and
the Valley, among other locales.
As a haute couture interior designer, she searches all over
the world for interesting, creative and unusual pieces.
Her style ranges from contemporary and classic; to Versace
and old world; to ranch and mountain homestead.
